Paygentic, the last payments platform you will need

Last month we launched Paygentic, a novel vertically integrated payments and billing platform for AI agents and agentic software applications. Susan and I built this platform to solve the problems we and many other founders find when monetizing and consuming products in this new wave of agentic software. We are a healthy mix of finance and tech in our background, and aim to build the product we wished we had.
Paygentic solves the multifaceted problems concerning the pricing, metering, billing, and payment of usage, outcomes, and actions.
We see that these are 4 facets of the same problem: monetizing the value of a product, specifically agentic software. Pricing needs to evolve.
The value generated by this new generation of products can no longer be expressed in terms of seats, or fixed monthly subscriptions. Legacy payments solutions, like Stripe, have been built around these concepts, and it is difficult to retrofit complex usage-driven pricing models into outdated platforms. This goes beyond slapping a usage-based billing component on top of a monthly subscription package. We are navigating towards an ecosystem where agents take decisions and actions in realtime. Every action must be priced, in real-time. Feature packages are created on the fly depending on the tasks and goals of a particular agent. Grants and entitlements are negotiated and renewed while processing workloads. Players like Intercom have proven that in this new era of software pricing is innovation. Paygentic, through its modular component-based pricing system, is the enabler for this innovation.

To accomplish this, we built a state-of-the-art real-time metering and billing global infrastructure designed for rapid event ingestion at scale. Our event-driven pipeline can process up to a million events a second, and we keep pushing the limits as we grow. Aggregating usage into an end-of-month invoice is no longer enough. Agents need visibility into the price of each of their interactions with third-party services as they fulfill user requests. Companies need observability into the consumption and spend.
Therefore, each event must have a price, and each expense must be metered and rated. This is the innovation of Paygentic.
Through Paygentic, services and features can be packaged in deeply customizable plans, and priced to the second and to the single event granularity. This can always be paired with more traditional billing components such as fixed subscription fees, add-ons, ramp-ups, etc. All managed through a single modular platform.
However, pricing, metering and billing are not enough. At Paygentic, we believe that for the loop to be closed, we need deeply integrated payments as part of the solution. This is why from the beginning we have strived to offer our own fully regulated, enterprise-ready, global payments solution: Paygentic Wallets. These are multi-currency accounts, held through our regulated payment partners, that enable the instant and efficient transfer of funds from customers to merchants, synchronized with event consumption. Not only is every action and event priced in real-time, funds can be transferred from account to account and reconciled cross-border as each event is processed.
Companies can pre-fund their Paygentic wallets through bank transfers or card payments, plus multiple other payment methods. Wallet balances serve as entitlement guards, avoiding issues with chargebacks and overspending. Budgets and rate limits can be established to control and oversee expenditure. Merchants can execute blazing fast pre-flight checks and demand commitments before authorizing product use. All in a matter of milliseconds. Merchants can then use their funds to instantly pay for downstream services, including LLMs, data APIs, and compute infrastructure.
Paygentic is the platform to enable the next wave of pricing and payments innovation.
